I was able to go down to LA for the holiday weekend (hooray for four day weekends!), and it was absolutely lovely! Fellowship with incredible friends was most definitely what I'd needed. The whole "living away from friends and family" thing is still very difficult for me, so I cherish every minute I have with the incredible people in my life. Only 4 more weeks...4 more...*sigh* OK, moving on.
One evening, my boyfriend and I had a "progressive dinner" at the mall (awesome date night idea, ladies!). We started with sushi, moved onto Mongolian BBQ, then -- after meandering around the mall to burn off the delicious (and filling!) meal -- ended with Trader Joes coffee ice cream (heaven on earth). We had never tried a "moving sushi bar" before, thus it was a necessity to be adventurous...
...totally worth it. :)
