Brian's Golden Birthday!

Friday was Brian's golden birthday (he turned 20 on Friday the 20th)! Everyone has SO much fun, especially when we did this photo shoot! We took so many pics, it was really hard to pic my faves; here are some of them! Hope you had a very special Friday! :)

Civil War Ball, Feb 09!

Saturday evening was the Civil War Ball! It was SO much fun! I had an amazing time with my wonderful friends. They all looked so cute in their dresses and vests. :) Hope you had a memorable Saturday! :)

contemplating

I have been contemplative about A LOT lately. My future, health, friendships; and most important, my walk with God. He has given me so much lately, that I feel selfish for not thanking him all the time. Or if I thank Him, I feel like I have a sinful and selfish motive. For example: I will thank Him for the little things, thinking (while I'm praying) that if I'm thankful for the little things, He will give me bigger things. I always seem to want something bigger, and I always want SOMETHING in return. I hate that! I wish I could be satisfied with what I have! Ugh, just another thing to pray about. :)

movies, cuddles, and rain

I hosted a movie marathon at my house this weekend; Emperor's New Groove, Take the Lead, and Transformers! I always think we can get in about 5 movies, but that never seems to happen. :) We fit about 9 people in the living room. Some on the floor with TONS of plush, others cuddled on the couch and chairs. So much fun!

Woke up this morning to the sounds of rain. I love that sound. It's so relaxing; just makes you want to snuggle with someone you love. Happy weekend! :)

My baby bichon Becca (trying saying that five times fast), short for Rebecca, and my Sissy's baby poodle Chewy (yes, it's short for Chewbaca from Star Wars) got a grooming today! They look amazing! We take them to Doggie Spa in SLO...THE best place in town for grooming! We've taken them to so many places, and this one wins hands down. You can tell they really love what they're doing. Such a fun photo shoot! Hope you had a good Wednesday! :)

valentine party

We had the annual homeschooler's valentine party this Monday! A lot of little children, but otherwise, a fun time! Good food, great friends, all around fun. Hope you had a happy Monday! :)

cupcake fever

I love days like yesterday. Always something fun to do, and never bored! Alrighty, I will lay out my day for ya:

• 7:10am: Woke up, ate my usual breakfast: cereal!
• 8:00am: Left for Cuesta
• 11:30am: Done with Cuesta, drove to Ross for last min birthday shopping. Ended up leaving Ross with two ADORABLE dresses, both for me. :)
• 12:15pm: Went next door to Beverly's. Got two cute gifts!
• 1:00pm: Followed the scent of cinnamon to House of Bread, where we waited 15min for one sandwich.
• 1:45pm: Went to church with Dad, saw good ol' Ken Peet. Always puts a smile on your face. :)
• 2:30pm: Got home, started baking cupcakes for small group!
• 3:45pm: Having no time to practice, went to piano workshop unprepared, yet only messed up once on my piece. :)
• 5:00pm: Came home, decorated cupcakes and got ready for small group.
• 6:30pm: Left for small group and swing!
• 7:05pm: Got to small group, realizing I had forgotten the cupcakes! O Well, more for us. :)
• 9:00pm: Went to swing and took part in a surprise party for my friend.
• 11:15pm: Got home after a VERY long day. :)

As you can see, I didn't even have time to sit! Yet it was so much fun, I wouldn't mind doing it all over again. :)
